Our Dog Day Care offers an environment designed for dogs that are social with other dogs. Day Care provides an outlet to expend excess of energy, socialize, exercise and remain active. Dogs are social animals that need exercise and stimulation and our Day Care is the best way to provide both. In this program, your dog will be able to participate in daily exercise through group activities. Dogs socialize and play in a controlled safe setting, monitored by our trained and certified staff. While it is a great fun, this exercise helps restrain behavior problems, separation anxiety and boredom issues.

All dogs participating in daycare or boarding must be able to swim and climb stairs on their own

Pickup Times

All dogs must be picked up before 7:00 pm on weekdays, 6:00 pm on Saturdays and 5:00 pm on Sundays & Public Holidays.

Late pick up fee $15 per hour

Monday to Friday 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Saturday 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Sunday/Public Holiday 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
No pick ups after these times, dogs will be boarded for the night

Reservations

All new dogs for daycare or boarding have to pass our free initial assessment, please contact us for details prior to purchase.
Once your dog passes the assessment, the dog can already stay for the first day of daycare until 7 pm and only a half day charge will apply that day. If the dog gets refused by the trainer and does not pass the assessment there will be no charge.
Reservations received by 3pm or later the day before booking date can't be canceled.
*A 50% extra charge will apply in all our services on Cayman public holidays.

SCHEDULE

Opening – 12:00 pm

Safe, supervised open-play time which includes swimming in the pool, running, playing, sniffing and fun with their BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever). Groups will be separated by size and temperament.

10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Dogs that were signed up for boot camp will enjoy supervised beach time on remote beaches on island including grilled bbq chicken lunch.

12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Dogs that were signed up for individual behavioral training will get their lessons during that time

12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Well-deserved naptime. Each dog is provided some much-needed “me” time so they don’t get over-stimulated in exciting environments. During this time, we also provide lunches and/or administer medications when applicable. We also use this time to clean before an afternoon of play! Our highly trained Canine Coaches will closely monitor your pup and may give them extra breaks throughout the day, if required.

2pm – Closing

Open play again before pet parents pick up a tired, happy and calm dog. Groups will be separated by size and temperament.

One Strike, You're Out Policy
If a dog seriously attacks another dog he/she will be banned from daycare and boarding activities at Cay 9 Resort immediately, no exceptions.
All dogs participating in this program must first pass a strict temperament screening process to ensure compatibility with the group. Dogs that haven't participated in daycare of boarding for more than 5 months have to pass a re-assessment.
Daycare packages are non-refundable, Daycare packages are not transferable and expire after being unused for 6 months or more.
Dogs with skin issues, injuries or cones can not participate in daycare or boarding
Resting periods are also built into the schedule in the form of midday naps. While playing, participants have access to an outdoor, fenced in, grass courtyard with Cayman’s only dog pool, where they can relieve themselves, stretch their legs, and play. This outdoor area features dog friendly artificial turf which features “Alphasan” antimicrobial agents that help fight odors and bacteria buildup creating a safer and cleaner environment for all of the dogs. This area is routinely maintained using the finest disinfectants to ensure it remains clean and sanitary.

We require that all dogs must pass the initial free assessment test, must be at least 4 months old, spayed or neutered, and up to date (not older than a year) with all the following shots:
1. Distemper, 2. Hepatitis (CAV), 3. Leptospirosis, 4. Parainfluenza, 5. Parvovirus, 6 .Bordetella (oral vaccination available at any vet on island)
All our doggy guests are separated by weight, size, temperament and activity level.
